ALOS Product Information
1.PRISM
PRISM data is provided in Level 1A, 1B1 and 1B2 with radiometric and geometric corrections added to Level 0 data.
[Definition of Processing Levels of PRISM Products]Level | Definition |
1A | This is PRISM raw data, which is clipped out of L0 data, decompressed and processed with line generation. Radiometric calibration and geometric correction coefficients are added for Level 1B processing. |
1B1 | This level applies radiometric calibration and adds absolute calibration coefficient to Level 1A data. Geometric correction coefficient is also added for level 1B2 processing. |
1B2 | This level applies geometric correction on Level 1B1 data. Following correction options are applicable. R:Geo-reference data. G:Layering data on a map. Geo-coded data. |
2.AVNIR-2
AVNIR-2 data is provided in Level 1A, 1B1 and 1B2 with radiometric and geometric corrections added to L0 data.
[Definition of Processing Levels of AVNIR-2 Products]Level | Definition |
1A | This is AVNIR-2 raw data, which is clipped out of L0 data, decompressed and processed with line generation. |
D:DEM correction can be applied for scenes with DEM to correct the influence of a pointing angle on topography. DEM correction is effective only in the Japanese region. Further, DEM correction error can occur with high pointing angles. Accuracy is not guaranteed since errors are complemented. |
3.PALSAR
PALSAR data is provided in Level 1.0, 1.1 and 1.5 with range and azimuth compression applied to L0 data.
[Definition of Processing Levels of PALSAR Products]Level | Definition | Remarks |
1.0 | This is not visualized data with recorded slant range. Processing software is required to use this data. | JERS-1: equivalent to Level 0 data RADARSAT:equivalent to signal data |
1.1 | This is the slant range image with range and single-look azimuth compression added to Level 1.0 data. It includes information of coordinates, phase and amplitude. | JERS-1:equivalent to Level 1.1 data RADARSAT:equivalent to single-look complex |
1.5 | This is the data that amplitude data, applied with range and multi-look azimuth compression, is projected on grand range and is applied to selected map projection at this level. Pixel spacing is applicable, according to observation modes. Following correction options are also available. R:Map projection by Geo-reference. G:Map projection by Geo-coded (Upper part of a map indicates true north). | JERS-1:equivalent to Level 2.1 data |
