A new version of the Global Precipitation Measurement (GPM) product (V08) will release on March 4, 2026. The GPM V08 data format will be NetCDF4 rather than HDF5. The file name extension will be updated from ".h5" to ".nc".

Stopping the provision of standard products due to the release of the new version (V08A):

• On March 1, 2026, we will stop providing new standard products after providing the final product for February observation. Near-Real-Time products will continue to be provided.
• On March 4, 2026, we will start providing the standard products of the new version (V08A). And we will provide the standard products of the new version (V08A), which we have stopped providing since March 1, 2026.
• After March 1, 2026, new release of DPR/GMI (COMB Precipitation and Spectral Latent Heating) will be suspended until the new version is ready.
