Change in the Provision Timing of GCOM-W AMSR2 Standard Products
The provision timing of the following GCOM-W AMSR2 standard products will be changed effective September 2, 2026, at 00:00 UTC:
- AMSR2 Standard Level 1 Products [L1A, L1B, L1R]
- AMSR2 Standard Level 2 Products [SND (Snow Depth) and SMC (Soil Moisture Content) only]
Before: 14-15 provisions per day
After: 4 provisions per day
* Please note that although the number of daily provisions will decrease, a larger volume of data will be included in each provision, as products will be provided in larger batches.
* The provision timing of AMSR2 Standard Level 2 Products [TPW (Total Precipitable Water), CLW (Cloud Liquid Water), PRC (Precipitation), SST (Sea Surface Temperature), SSW (Sea Surface Wind speed), and SIC (Sea Ice Concentration)] and all AMSR2 Standard Level 3 Products will remain unchanged.
The standard products themselves will continue to be provided as usual, and only the provision timing will change.
